L'oreal Paris Casting Sunkiss Jelly - PRODUCT REVIEW

Hey Guys! :)

So I know I haven't posted in over 2 months but my life has been on a rollercoaster (who's life isn't?! :P ) but with starting my new job and leaving college its pretty tiring after running around after 1 year olds :') but anyway, a few weeks a go I went to Scotland with my boyfriend Danny and I thought I would try a new hair product. Here is my review:

Okay so here is the product itself and I am just going to state that this product is AMMONIA FREE! so it won't damage you're hair as much as products with ammonia would!
The photo on the left is how it looks stocked on the shelf and the photo on the right I am showing you the actual application :) I love the packaging of this product! I think it is colourful and attractive and also gives you an estimate change in colour in the smaller photos at the bottom which in my opinion are pretty accurate! :) I love the way that you apply the product as I don't really dye my hair so an easy application is enough for me! you pretty much squirt it onto your hands (whilst wearing the gloves provided) obviously :P and then rub it into your hair.. another thing in which I love about this product is that you can do whatever you like with it! you can create an all over sunkissed look, you can give yourself highlights or lowlights! Or you can even create an ombre look like me! :) I am aware that there are other products out there in which are especially for ombre looks, but I was afraid that it was going to come out too bold and obvious and create a horrible contrast throughout my hair - so I forgot about my ombre desire until I saw this product! Another strength in which I love about this product is that it is a leave-in product so you can just apply it as part of you're daily routine without any hassle :)

The product comes in 3 different 'colours' or strengths in which you buy according to your hair colour, I got the 01 'for light brown to dark blonde' now I am still arguing with myself as to whether this is your own hair colour or the colour in which your hair may turn after it has been lightened! Just to clarify guys THIS PRODUCT IS NOT A COLOURED DYE. IT IS A GRADUAL LIGHTENER AND DEPENDING ON YOUR OWN HAIR THE RESULTS MAY VARY!

So here is the back and the top of the product packaging. Again at the top it shows an example of the gradual transition the product may make your hair. But as said above, it also says this on the product that the results may vary depending on your original hair colour. It also states that the product works best on hair light brown - dark blonde best (rather than really light blonde/black hair.)

The back of the packaging the product provides instructions of 'easy application' (not like you will need to follow them!) and states that this product is 'enriched with camellia oil, known for it's caring and delicate properties.' In my own opinion I can definitely say that this product made my hair feel and smell amazing! Because I only applied the product to the bottom half of my hair I could definitely recognise a difference in texture and shine from using this product!

So now I have described the actual product to you, moving on to the actual effectiveness of the product! this is what my hair looked like before I used the product, (sorry I couldn't get a photo of my hair from the back as it would have given you a better view but this is the best one I could find :) )
My hair in this picture is (in my opinion) a mixture of a mousey brown and a deep chocolate brown. In this photo my hair looks lighter as I am standing in front of the window but you still can see the darkness of my hair in the photograph :)

I was debating with myself for quite a while as to whether I should put any form of dye or colourant on my hair - I was even unsure about using this product, but I became bored with my hair and wanted to change something about it so I decided to go with a lightening product! :)

Here is the result!:

So this is after about 5 applications of the product! as it is a gradual lightener it does not instantly change the colour of your hair. Although I applied this product around 7 times it did not change my hair much to what it has in this photo, when I took this photo my hair was very new and I am standing in front of the window. (that's maybe why it looks to have a ginger tint!) but my hair is now a tad blonder than in this photo! I wish I had taken step by step photos of my transition!!

Overall I would rate this product: ★ 4 out of 5 Stars! :)

I hope you enjoyed my post guys and I hope that (if you haven't already) that this post inspires you to go and try this product! I highly recommend it :)
